My TESDA MOOC Journey: Enrolling in Housekeeping NC II

Taking the Housekeeping NC II course through the TESDA Online Program (MOOC) has been an exciting and meaningful experience for me. At first, I enrolled because I wanted to learn proper cleaning and organizing techniques that could help me at home and maybe even open job opportunities in hotels or resorts someday.

The enrollment process was simple but took patience. I started by visiting the TESDA Online Program website (e-tesda.gov.ph), created my account, and searched for the “Housekeeping NC II” course under Tourism. After enrolling, I explored the lessons at my own pace — one of the best things about online learning!

Throughout the course, I learned important housekeeping skills like bed making, cleaning rooms and bathrooms properly, using cleaning tools safely, and maintaining hygiene standards. I realized that being a housekeeper is not just about cleaning — it’s about discipline, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Although some parts were a bit challenging, especially managing my time to complete the modules, I enjoyed every step. This experience helped me build confidence and develop practical skills that I can use in real life. I plan to finish the course and get my TESDA Certificate of Completion, which will be useful if I apply for work in the hospitality industry in the future.

Taking this course made me appreciate the hard work and dedication of housekeepers. It also showed me that through TESDA, we can learn valuable skills for free and create a better future for ourselves
